Eastern Highlands

The Eastern Highlands   include the hills east of the A9 as well as those immediately west of it .

The main means of public transport are the railway to Inverness and Citylink coaches .

The coaches run from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Inverness via Perth

There is no transport along the A93  north of Spittal of Glen Shee and to reach Braemar ,it is necessary to go via Aberdeen

There is a limited bus service to Spittal of Glen Shee from Blairgowrie. Timetable here
